There are a lot of fun ways to donate to the IWGA Victory Fund!

Get your club or group involved!

This is probably the most fun way of participating!  Use the power of numbers to make a significant contribution to help a good cause and have your club appear in the annual donation map.

Some methods that have been used are:

  • Run a tournament for your group and charge an entry fee or require a donation to play that is then donated to the IWGA.  This can be a golf tournament, putting contest, bridge tournament, tennis tournament...whatever works for you!
  • Hold a raffle
  • Put a Victory Fund Donation can out on league days (one club raises over $1,000 per year this way!)
  • Have your club add a mandatory fee to each member's bill once a year (boring, but we'll take it!).
  • Have your group participate in the John Deere Classic Birdies for Charities program and assign the proceeds to the IWGA (see below)

We have two Victory Fund areas in the state, the Chicago Area and the State-Wide Area.  Each area has it's own Victory Fund Chair and they are eager to help with any questions you may have and can provide printed materials for your use.

**IMPORTANT**

If you are making a donation on behalf of your club or group by credit card or Birdies for Charities, please be sure to notify one of the Victory Fund Chairs so that you will receive credit and will appear in the annual publications.  Also, contributors will receive a perpetual plaque to commemorate the donations made.

  • Donate by Credit Card.

Participate in the John Deere Classic Birdies for Charities:

Individuals, clubs and groups can donate to the IWGA (Birdie Number 1415) by participating in Birdies for Charities!  It's fun and you might win a great prize!

How it works:

  • Guess the number of birdies in the annual John Deere Classic PGA Tournament (about 2,000 per year).  There are prizes awarded to participants who guess the correct number of birdies made (really good prizes...like a Lexus lease for 2 years...)
  • Fill out the Birdies for Charity Online Donation Form.  The IWGA birdie number is 1415.  OR...
  • Fill out a pledge card with your birdie guess.
    • You can pledge a fixed-amount
    • You can make an extra donation to the Birdies for Charity Bonus Fund.
    • Send your pledge card with a check to your group's coordinator or direct to the Birdies for Charity office before the tournament begins.
  • John Deere then distributes your pledges to the IWGA along with a matching grant from the John Deere Foundation!

**IMPORTANT**

If you are making a donation on behalf of your club or group, please be sure to notify one of the Victory Fund Chairs of your pledged amount so that you will receive credit and will appear in the annual publications.  Also, contributors will receive a perpetual plaque to commemorate the donations.

Thanks for considering donating to the IWGA Victory Fund!
